In this issue titled "Future Shock, Part 2," Kyle Rayner, the Green Lantern, finds himself in a challenging situation. Ganthet, a member of the Guardians of the Universe, has given Kyle's ring to Cary Wren, a descendant of Kyle. Cary taps into the power of the ring and becomes the new Green Lantern. Meanwhile, Kyle is being questioned by Tomar Ro, the leader of the evil Green Lantern Corps of this era. Kyle uses his combat skills to escape and, with the help of Cary and other Legion members, defeats the villains by destroying the energy source of their power rings. However, Kyle's journey doesn't end there as he finds himself on a different planet, witnessing a young Hal Jordan fighting Sinestro.
